Havana Travel Guides

Fiesta! Welcome to Havana. An explosion of music, smiles, crumbling buildings – that sums up Cuba’s capital. Havana is split into two areas: La Habana Vieja (Old Havana) and Vedado.

Most of the tourist attractions, such as Museo de la Revolución, Capitolio, and the many plazas, are situated in Old Havana, but there are a few modern restaurants in Vedado which are worth a visit.

Take a vintage car ride to Hotel Nacional, where the local mafia used to hatch plans over mojitos!

Trinidad Travel Guides

Take a stroll down Cuba’s famous colourful streets of Trinidad.

Drink rum, listen to jazz, and cycle, or take the bus to paradise, aka Playa Ancon *rubs eyes* yes, this exists!

Viñales Travel Guide

Found in western Cuba, the lush countryside of Viñales is a welcomed rest for the buzz of Havana. The town is surrounded by unusual-looking hills called mogotes!

Viñales is cigar land; there are plenty of farms which you can tour around.

Great guide and hopefully ensures more people get to enjoy this glorious island and warm people. My tip…..please tip. A CUC(peso) goes a long way in Cuba and will ensure you keep getting great service. (Although tbh, the service is genuinely great before any tip). Also, any toiletries and toys would be welcomed as gifts. Beware, Cuba can get under your skin, then you’ll never want to leave!

I find the toys and toiletries a weird one, we were never under the impression that any of our casa owners expected that.

Wish I had found your post before I went to Cuba, but better late than never. My girlfriend and I visited Cuba for a month of shoestring outdoor travel activities earlier in the year (and visited many of the same places you mention).
