Happy Monday, not any Monday, the first Monday of 2016! I hope you all had a lovely Hogmanay (this is what we call New Year’s Eve in Scotland). To celebrate Hogmanay, Craig and I caught the sun set over Canada Place in Vancouver and then had dinner in Gastown to line our stomachs for drinks on Main Street in Mount Pleasant. Needless to say we had tender heads on the 1st of January! New Year’s Day is actually my birthday (yes, the worst day to have a birthday!) Craig bought me new headphones, perfect for running with. I’ve been on the treadmill for most of December and I hope to continue running in 2016, keep some of the travel weight off. It’s hard work keeping fit whilst travelling.
When this article reaches your inbox (if you’d like new posts mailed to your inbox in future sign up here) we’ll be in the Pacific Northwest. First stop Seattle for two nights then four nights in Portland. Very much looking forward to a new adventure in these cities! First time for both of us.
However, we’re not quite done with Canada yet, here are our last images of the beautiful country that we’ve called home for the past six months, I like to think they are ‘very Vancouver’… If you agree, tell us which is your favourite in the comments box below.
