Photo of the Fortnight #7 – Candid Cuba

This article has links to products and services we love, which we may make commission from.

Sorry for leaving you guys without Photo of the Fortnight! We were held hostage by Cuba‘s lack of internet opportunities. We’ll be writing more on that soon. It definitely was refreshing in the first fortnight to not be chained to the Macbook but a bit frustrating (and abnormal) by week three.

You voted and the winner of Photo of the Fortnight #6 was clear (we’ve broken the ties, finally) – Photo 1 The Colourful Fruit Seller! This fortnight we will be showing off our snaps of Cuba.

Now for Photo of the Fortnight #7. We look forward to hearing from you and will announce the winner through Facebook (not with us on there yet? Help us get to 1000 by ‘liking’ us here.)

1. Sunset from The Fort, Havana (one of my favourite nights)

  1. I like the sunset from the Fort the most. This just solidifies what everyone has been saying about how unique and beautiful it is in Cuba. I can’t wait to go in December. I’m sure it’s hard to give up Internet for that long, but it’s good for us to do that once in a while.

  2. Cuba is best described as a photographers dream come true. In every corner you never know what you might find. It’s all fascinating, whether it’s the people, the buildings and the towns. Trinidad is one of the most beautiful towns to visit. My family has a hostel in Trinidad. Which is getting ready to open soon. I’ve been to Cuba several times now and each time I go back I fall in love with it more. I’m looking forward to seeing some of your other pictures.

  3. What Cuba lacks in internet, it makes up for a thousand times over in personality, right? It is one of my favorite countries in the Caribbean. As a child, living in Canada, my parents did business in Cuba so I spent many amazing days exploring the country. Your sunset from The Fort, Havana brings back fond memories.

  4. It’s so hard to choose just one! My vote is for Bike Ride in Viñales. Cuba must be such an interesting country to ride a bike through, for the people. Looks like you two had a great time. I’m looking forward to your posts.

There are actually tours by bike. I’m not sure if my booty could take it after the short ride in Viñales and to Playa Acon in Trinidad (article coming soon!) Voted counted, thanks Amanda.

  5. While I love the beach photo and the sunset, I have to say #1 is my favorite! I don’t know what it is about street art, but I just love it. It’s always so fun to see all the different interpretations of art around the world!
