Howdy from Hungary! It’s really strange being in a country where you look similar to the locals but don’t have a scoobie what they are saying or what the signs say. So far I’ve nailed ‘thank you’ and ‘no thank you’ and ‘cheers’…
We are here for one month so there’s plenty of time to share photographs from this very pretty country, those who follow us on Facebook and Instagram will have spotted a few snaps from Budapest and our Hungarian road trip around Lake Balaton (more on that soon!) Since the last Photo of the Fortnight, Craig and I parted ways, yes after just one week of marriage. Craig partied in Budapest as I volunteered as a native English speaker to help Hungarians develop their communication skills. They were all terrified of speaking with ‘the Scot’! It was a really interesting experience. I started to learn a bit more about the Hungarian culture and life before ‘the change’ in 1989, fascinating stories of secrets, fear, and the lack of bananas during the communist era!
Anyway, more on that later. I wanted to share more wedding photos because I adore them AND I know how much of a sucker you lot are for love.
